Nothing today

I've just got nothing to say today so I think I'll just send some prayers and positive thoughts to those involved in yesterday's shootings at Virginia Tech. What an awful, awful tragedy. You send your kids to school to be safe, not terrorized by a suicidal classmate. Very, very sad.

My thoughts are with all the victims and their families.

It makes you sick to your stomach and disgusted for days.

I have failed to be shocked by these regular slaughters for a long time. Sad, yes, but not shocked. There will be the usual dialogs as far as reasons/solutions but nothing will be done. Lax gun laws? Perhaps. Violence in movies/video games/tv? Maybe. America's violent culture? Could be. There is something worse in this country's future I'm afraid. Dark? Foreboding? Cynical? Sorry, I'm afraid it is just fact based on the past. I'm really not this depressing in real life!

I couldn't even post today. I still can't wrap my brain around it, and couldn't come up with coherent thoughts other than, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE PEOPLE THINKING????".

Tragedy never seems to go away.

I wrote my own rant about the Virginia Tech shooting. It hits home for me because of Columbine and the fact that I was in High School for that.

Of course, my heart goes out to the families of the victims. Senseless isn't even the word for it.
