Going to buy other people's crap today.
I have to make this quick as I have to get out of here to hit some garage sales. I still hold on to some of my hippy ideals, one of them being that we have way too much stuff and that if someone is getting rid of something (in good condition) you might as well make use of it.
Oh and let's see.
#1 My favorite tv show as a young kid was Land Of The Lost. In Kindergarten we always played it and I was always Holly. I've asked for the boxed set for Mom's Day. Doubt I'll get it but it's my current dream ;) Oh that and those stupid tickets I couldn't get yesterday.

I love yard sales, but they only hold them on Saturdays here. I hold about one a year. Last one before Christmas we made 250 bucks which is good, since I price most shit at 10 cents to a quarter. hehehehe
My mother in law gets mad that I price good stuff so low. But what I tell her is. I don't want it, if they don't take it, I'm gonna throw it away, so why not make a bit of money on it, and not screw someone in the process. She still doesn't like how I price stuff. lol

I love yard sales too!! I'm also an addict for thrift stores, consignment stores and the occaisional flea market. It's some sort of rush to buy a like new item for a fraction of the price.

Hey,if you want to get good prices at a garage sale, you ought to hit one that my good friend Rebecca at The Rants from Sunnybrook Farm puts on. She and I pooled all our junk and had a garage sale once so we could raise money to go to a writer's conference in NYC. She kept going around and putting bargain-even-by-garage-sale-standard prices on all my stuff. I told her we were never going to make it to the Big Apple at that rate. We got there, though...
She's a peach!

I went out and bought a bunch of other people's crap today, too. I think I managed to get all the clothes Sparky will need to make it through the summer.
Oh, and I had a huge crush on Will from LotL.

I remember that show! I didn't know they had a boxed set of it though! That would be fun to see again.
I like garage sales too but I can never find anyone to go with me and I hate going alone.

Oh my gosh!!! Land of the Lost was my favorite too. We found a LOTL DVD in the $5.00 bin at Walmart the other day and spent the morning watching it. The acting sucks and the story line lame, but I enjoyed it. The slee-stacks still terrified me. LMAO!!!

LOVED Land of the Lost!
In fact, my son, The Boy, makes the sleestack sound. Creepy, but funny as shit too!
I just received the show "Dinosaurs" on DVD. The baby, Poot, LOVES it!
